Airway Management is no stranger to the treatment of Sleep Disordered Breathing (SDB). In 1994, W. Keith Thornton, DDS, a third generation dentist from Dallas, Texas, started Airway Management with the development of the TAP™ (Thornton Adjustable Positioner™). Today, the TAP leads the field of Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT) in both sales and clinical research for the treatment of Snoring, Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (UARS). Dr. Thornton holds more than fifty U.S. and foreign patents in the area of Oral Appliances and CPAP masks from which the TAP PAP™ Nasal Pillow Mask was born.
The TAP PAP Nasal Pillow Mask eliminates all of the common problems associated with CPAP masks that often lead to the discontinuance of therapy. These problems are instability, leak, pressure drop and needless annoying marks on the nose and face. Being anchored to the upper teeth with a special ThermAcryl™ mouthpiece, the TAP PAP NPM is very stable. It will not move or leak and does not require headgear.
The TAP PAP Nasal Pillow Mask performs so well that Airway Management offers a Compliance Guarantee Program that is the most comprehensive mask guarantee program in the industry.
For CPAP naïve patients we stand by TAP PAP Nasal Pillow Mask through the initial 90 day period as set forth by Medicare in 2008. If the patient is not compliant in accordance with the Medicare Regulations for billing beyond month three, we will replace the mask to the suppliers inventory. For all CPAP patients we offer a 30 day customer satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason the patient does not like the TAP PAP Nasal Pillow Mask during the first 30 days of use we will replace the mask to the suppliers inventory.
